Flutterwave Appoints Ex-CBN Chief, VC Partner to Steer Governance Drive

Lagos, Nigeria – In a strategic move to fortify its governance and amplify its impact, Flutterwave, Africa’s leading payments technology company, has announced the appointments of Dipo Fatokun as Chairman and Tosin Faniro-Dada as an Independent Non-Executive Director to its board.

Dipo Fatokun, a seasoned finance professional with over three decades of experience, brings a wealth of regulatory expertise and supervisory acumen to Flutterwave. During his tenure as a Director at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Fatokun spearheaded pivotal initiatives such as the Cashless Nigeria Initiative, the Bank Verification Number project, and the Treasury Single Account (TSA) automation, leaving an indelible mark on the nation’s financial landscape.

With over 17 years of corporate banking and investment management experience, including a stint at PwC in Boston, Faniro-Dada currently serves as a Partner at Breega, one of Europe and Africa’s fastest-growing early-stage VC funds.
