South African e-health startup RecoMed has joined forces with Kaelo Health, an affordable health insurance provider, to make virtual healthcare more accessible for everyone. This new partnership aims to simplify the process of getting medical help online.
RecoMed runs an online platform that connects patients with healthcare professionals and handles over 250,000 patient visits each month. They also manage more than 100,000 bookings every month. On the other hand, Kaelo Health focuses on offering low-cost health insurance and essential services to improve the well-being of South Africans.
By working together, RecoMed and Kaelo Health are making it easier and cheaper for patients to take care of their health from home. The new system allows doctors to create a set of questions for patients to answer before their online appointment. This helps doctors understand patients’ needs better and provide more effective care during the consultation.
Dr. Arianna Alletzhauser from Kaelo Health explains, “We want to offer high-quality and affordable healthcare that makes a real difference in people’s lives. Our partnership with RecoMed helps us extend access to primary healthcare services in a more innovative way.” This collaboration promises to improve how South Africans access and manage their healthcare online.
